What policies on use of water for agriculture, for nature, for industrial use along the Rhine exist?
- The adaptive tipping point analysis promises to become a heuristic approach which facilitates the evaluation of actual and future adaptation policies. - We focus on three aspects of water use of Rhine water because it builds on existing research. - The choice of agriculture and nature also relates to the most important land uses in the Rhine river basin. - Analysis of urban areas is not included, due to the high level of fragmentation of policies and situations.
Inventory of actual adaptation policies and land use change trends, using literature surveys and interviews in the Rhine river basin.
