Dr. Qaisar Saddique is an expert in leveraging engineering skills in the field of agricultural water engineering and climate change. He is committed to addressing the challenges of climate change related to sustainable water resources management and agriculture water productivity through engineering principles. Prior to his current role at the Potsdam Institute for Climate Impact Research (PIK), he has focused on a wide range of topics including the impact of climate change on agricultural productivity and water management, crop and hydrological modeling, and irrigation and water resources management. He has also been involved in developing strategies for irrigation management, water resources management, droughts, and sustainable agriculture productivity. He has also conducted research on agriculture adaptation and sustainable solutions for leading agriculture and water management companies as well as multiple-stakeholder organizations. He is also interested in using human-computer interaction solutions to enhance the learning experiences of students studying climate change, agricultural water and soil engineering. Currently, he is engaged with the GVCA project as a plant and water modeling expert and his research focus is on crop and hydrological process-based models, climate change, water resources, agricultural water management and agriculture adaptation. He has previously worked as a  Research Associate at Northwest A&F University, China and has experience working with international non-profits, local governments, academia and stakeholders to conduct research and translate science for communities.
