Laurin Köhler-Schindler has been a postdoctoral researcher in Research Department 3 (Transformation Pathways) since March 2024. He works in integrated assessment modelling and his research focuses on public budgets and fiscal pressure in the context of sustainability transitions.
He is a mathematician by training and previously completed his doctorate in the Probability Theory Group at ETH Zurich under the supervision of Vincent Tassion, where he studied phase transitions and critical phenomena in percolation models and in spin models from statistical mechanics.
