Anna is a postdoctoral researcher in the working group Adaptation in Agricultural Systems. Her tasks are modelling the impact of climate change on crop yields and yield variability in sub-Saharan Africa (e.g. Kenya, Burkina Faso) and developing adaptation strategies. Her main research interests are climate change impacts on agriculture, adaptation strategies to climate change, yield gaps, crop losses due to pests and citizen science. She worked on several interdisciplinary and international research projects (e.g. Carbiocial) and obtained a PhD in Agricultural Science at the Humboldt University of Berlin.

Anna studied Public Administration with special emphasis on European Studies at the Westfälische Wilhelms Universität Münster (GER) and the University of Twente (NL). She holds a Master degree in Governance and Rural Development from the Federal Rural University of Pernambuco (UFPRE) of Recife, Brazil and a PhD in Agricultural Science from the Humboldt University of Berlin. Before joining PIK, she worked as a researcher in the working group “Data Analysis and Simulation” at the Leibniz Centre for Agricultural Landscape Research.
