Sophie is a final year medical student at Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin and holds an MSc Public Health from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, UK. She is currently pursuing her medical doctoral degree at Charité and joined the Climate Change and Health Working Group at PIK in January 2021 as a guest researcher. Sophie investigates the impact of a flooding event on food security and health as part of the Food and Agricultural Approaches to Reducing Malnutrition (FAARM) trial in Sylhet, Bangladesh. Her research interests include impacts of climate change on health, planetary health and the intersection of these topics with gender issues.
