Henry studied B.Sc. Meteorology at the University of Leipzig and M.Sc. International Area Studies at the LMU Halle-Wittenberg. In his bachelor thesis he investigated changes in the jet stream under Arctic forcing using the ECHAM6 model. His master thesis was carried out at PIK and used SWIM to investigate changes in groundwater recharge associated with forest restructuring in Brandenburg.
