Dr. Dominik Paprotny

Postdoctoral Researcher
Paprotny

Dominik Paprotny is the WP3 (Exposure and vulnerability) leader in Horizon Europe project COMPASS. Until June 2024, he was the principal investigator in DFG-funded project "Decomposition of flood losses by environmental and economic drivers" (2021-2024). The project aims to re-evaluate recorded fluvial and coastal flood losses that have occurred since 1950 in order to attribute them, on one hand, to change in climate forcing and, on the other, to the evolving social and economic conditions. It will result in new mesoscale vulnerability models and a wealth of high-resolution data on European flood hazard, exposure and impacts. More details: https://naturalhazards.eu
