My current research focuses on advancing a new framework for Carbon Neutrality as part of the TIME CO2 project. A key aspect of this work is the quantification of 'carbon buckets' for potential tipping elements in sub-Earth systems, such as the AMOC and the Amazon rainforest. This research draws on modeling results from the CLIMBER-X model to explore the potential of Natural Climate Solutions.

In addition, I am interested in understanding the mechanisms behind nonlinear dynamics in climatic variables, particularly in the context of critical transitions within Earth systems. I am interested in exploring new methods to assess changes in nonlinear features. My work involves applying dynamical systems theory to detect the critical transitions in the system. I am also focused on understanding the climate feedback of tipping points and their role in driving critical transitions within the Earth system.
