David is a doctoral researcher with a background in forestry, agriculture and agroforestry. Currently, he works on applying crop yield and suitability models to make climate impact assessments. He mainly uses process-based models, suitability models and machine learning to identify suitable adaptation strategies for the agricultural sector. He is particularly interested in nature-based solutions such as agroforestry, which have wide applicability and social, economic and environmental benefits.

He studied Forestry at Makerere University Kampala-Uganda. Then, he joined Weihenstephan Treisdor University of Applied Sciences for a M.Sc. in climate change management.
