A political scientist by training, Ann-Katrin Schenk has been working on energy and climate policy issues for more than 15 years and now heads the Policy Unit at the Potsdam Institute for Climate Impact Research.
Previously, Ann-Katrin worked at the German Energy Agency (dena), as a senior expert for energy policy and most recently as head of the management office. In various positions in Brussels, at the umbrella organization of municipal energy suppliers, CEDEC and EUFORES, a parliamentary network for renewable energies and energy efficiency, Ann-Katrin dealt with many issues surrounding the European energy and climate policy legal framework.
Ann-Katrin has a Master's degree in International and European Politics (MSc) from the University of Edinburgh and studied European Studies at the University of Maastricht for her bachelor's degree. Ann-Katrin also completed an Executive Program in Innovation Management at Stanford Business School.
