He is also Professor for Sustainable Land Use and Climate Mitigation at University of Kassel and member of the Kassel Institute for Sustainability. Alexander Popp coordinates the development of the global land-use model ‘Model of Agricultural Production and its Impacts on the Environment’ (MAgPIE), which over the last years has evolved into one of the world’s leading integrated global land and water use modelling systems.
