I completed my Master of Since in Geography at the Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin. The topic of my thesis was "Coupled human physical effects in changing climate: Flood risk management and the levee effect".
Actually I am working on the SLICE project.
Here, I am mainly interested in coastal floods (incl. storm surges) and the adapted behaviour of affected communities. Assessments of the effectiveness of different coastal adaptation strategies remain limited and become more relevant under climate change. Moreover, evaluating these adaptation measures from a physical perspective alone is not sufficient, as these also strongly influence social behaviour regarding risk perception and autonomous adaptation.
