Sally Dacie

Postdoctoral Researcher

At PIK, Sally Dacie is working on the topic of circularity and industry modelling, applied to the plastics sector. The aim is to connect material flow analysis with integrated assessment modelling, to better understand the feasibility of transformations in the plastics sector and how these can contribute to global decarbonisation targets.

Before joining PIK, Sally Dacie worked for start-ups and a multinational company, building analytics for the financial sector around company emissions, emission reduction targets and scenario data. Sally Dacie studied physics at Imperial College London, solar physics at University College London and completed a PhD in earth system sciences at the Max Planck Institute for Meteorology, where she co-developed a simple model of the tropical atmosphere (konrad).
