Max Bechthold

Following a master's thesis in physics with the title "Dynamics of Behavioural Contagion in a Stylised Social-Ecological Multilayer Network Model of Social Norms and Groups" under the supervision of Jonathan Donges, Max has been working at PIK since November 2023 in the ERA future lab and the copan collaboration. From April on he works as project researcher in the context of a modeling framework for World-Earth system resilience.

His research interests include: complex systems, non-linear dynamics, multilayer networks, agent based models, social-ecological systems, feedback loops, social norms, social groups and social tipping, (world-) earth system resilience and tipping.
