Tim is a doctoral researcher with a background in organic agriculture. In his doctoral thesis, he focuses on modelling scenarios for a sustainable intensification of agriculture in India and Madagascar. To this end, he uses process-based crop models in combination with empirical data from social and natural science. Other research interests include the contribution of agriculture and land use to planetary boundaries and the translation of agricultural policies to concrete measures at farm level.
