Jakob Dürrwächter joined PIK's Transformation Pathways department in 2022 as a postdoctoral researcher. He is a member of the National Energy Transitions team in the Energy Systems group. He works in energy systems modelling with a focus on the decarbonization of heavy industry.
He obtained BSc and a MSc degrees in aerospace engineering at the University of Stuttgart, where he completed his PhD on numerical methods and uncertainty quantification for computational fluid dynamics at the Institute of Aerodynamics and Gas Dynamics.
