The interdisciplinary expert workshop aims to bring together existing research in the thematic area of
climate change, human (im)mobility and conflict under the umbrella of Peace and Conflict Studies. In
recent years, there has been an ongoing debate in peace and conflict research about the pathways and
contexts in which climate-related impacts affect conflict. The expert workshop will add to the existing
knowledge basis by shedding light on (im)mobilities in climate-conflict dynamics. Such research is
extremely timely as Germany has just assumed this year’s G7 presidency with solutions to the climate crisis
and conflict prevention in the focus
