National climate risk analysis to identify and weight adaptation strategies for the water sector in Bolivia
The aim of the project is to support government and development actors in Bolivia to prioritize their adaptation investments. The project consists of a climate impact and climate action dimension. The climate impact dimension includes of a comprehensive climate impact assessment where evolving trends for temperature and precipitation, future water availability and future crop yields are analyzed. This is followed by a climate action dimension which focuses on identification of adaptation strategies, their feasibility, cost effectiveness and aptitude/feasibility for local conditions. The findings will inform national and sub-national adaptation planning including NDC and NAP development and review, as well as other planning and implementation levels. The project is carried out in close collaboration with Bolivian stakeholders and includes capacity building activities.
