Amongst the works of the two artists are an exhibition design of a major project in the Romanian Pavilion at the Art Biennale in Venice, a pop-up public bath which was a finalist at the European Prize for Urban Public Space Barcelona, and an ongoing project in three neighbourhoods of Bucharest, which aims to involve the community of local residents in investigating the practices of public space uses.
On 19 May the Mayor of Potsdam, Jann Jakobs, is hosting an event to mark the start of the new cooperation for the enhanced Artists in Residence program. Speakers include Jakobs, Katharina Narbutovič, head of the Artists-in-Berlin program of the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD), and PIK's director Hans Joachim Schellnhuber. Cristi Borcan of studioBASAR will give an introduction to his work.
