The lecture “Trust in Science” will be held by Naomi Oreskes, Professor of the history of science at Harvard University. Oreskes will discuss scientific topics like the safety of vaccines or the reality of climate change, that still leave some people confused even though Doctors tell us that vaccines are safe, and scientists that climate change is real. Acting as Commentator, an esteemed role in the lecture series, will be Edenhofer, who is also Professor of the Economics of Climate Change at TU Berlin and director of the Mercator Research Institute on Global Commons and Climate Change (MCC).
