“During crises like these, it is even more important that we listen to the science and to the experts," said Greta Thunberg, the Swedish climate and environmental activist. "That goes for all crises, whether it is the Corona crisis or the climate crisis, which of course is still on going and is not slowing down.”
Johan Rockström uttered some optimism from the current situation: “Around the world, people are recognizing the uncertainty and are being cautious. Also regarding the climate, we cannot know for certain how far we can push up global warming. So I hope that we come out of the pandemic with the recognition that science shows: it’s not worth taking the risk.”
