10/25/2022 - Exchange on PISM experience and future project planning
On October 24 and 25, a part of our working group visited The Geological Survey of Denmark and Greenland (GEUS) in Copenhagen to discuss recent developments and applications of our ice sheet model PISM (see https://www.pism.io/).
We had fruitful discussions, great food and generally a fun exchange with our Danish colleagues including EU project partners from the Danish Meteorological Institute (DMI). Even PISM co-developer Andy Aschwanden was able to join us and came all the way from Fairbanks, Alaska.
One highlight within the coffee break was the view from the top of the GEUS building in Copenhagen, where we were also shown the weather station set-up that GEUS uses on the Greenland Ice Sheet.
We are very much looking forward to our upcoming science and collaboration!
