At the 29. International Polar Conference in Rauris, Austria

Lena, a doctoral researcher from ERSU’s ice theme participated in the 29. International Polar Conference,  which was jointly organised by the Austrian Polar Institute (APRI) and the German Society for Polar Research (DGP) from September 15 to 20, 2024 in the Austrian Alps.

The conference was be held under the motto Dynamic Poles and High Mountain Environments and in addition to scientific lectures and poster presentations, the program included a public evening lecture, a polar and snow related art exhibitions as well as an ECR workshop, prior to the conference, that Lena co-organised as APECS Germany Co-Chair.

The scientific sessions covered a wide range of topics related to polar sciences, including climate change impacts on glaciers, sea ice, and permafrost, as well as interdisciplinary collaborations across natural and social sciences.
