10.3 million euros for PIK's new high-performance cluster
Research Minister Dr. Manja Schüle (center) hands over the funding notification to Ottmar Edenhofer, PIK Director, and Bettina Hörstrup, Administrative Director of PIK.

The government of Brandenburg announced that it will give 10.3 million euros to PIK for a new high-performance computing cluster to be delivered and installed in 2022/23. This is great news also for the ICE group as the cluster is our backbone for simulating the past, present and future evolution of the ice sheets of Greenland and Antarctica with PISM.
