10/08/2024 - Earth Resilience Science Unit from PIK visits its counterpart at MPI-GEA
On October 8th and 9th the Earth Resilience Science Unit at PIK visited the MPI-GEA in Jena to discuss current research topics within the three themes and possible links for future projects. Founding director Ricarda Winkelmann and her team at MPI-GEA provided a warm welcome and a great overview about the institute's mission and its core research themes.
In rainy walkshop format we discovered each other's work in more detail to come up with creative collaborative paper ideas across themes, which will be further discussed and worked on in a planned retreat next year. In a synthesis we collected and grouped key research questions and review paper ideas which ERSU will approach with the expertise and strength of both institutes.
