The five day interactive online training on climate and crop modelling in Central Asia was held from the 15th to the 19th of November. The workshop introduced the participants to climate change in the region, agroclimatic indices relevant for crop production and the theoretical basis of empirical crop models. Both parts contained practical exercises in programming language R to exemplify the contents and enable practical application. To enable all participants to follow these exercises, a pre-workshop introductory course into R, relating to similar contents, was provided during the first two days.
The lectures and practical exercises during this training were provided by Lennart Jansen, Paula Aschenbrenner and Dr. Prof. Bernhard Schauberger.
