The Green Talent Competition of the BMBF gives young outstanding minds active in the field of environmental and sustainable research the opportunity to conduct a research stay of up to three months at an institution of their choice. This enables them to learn about sustainability research in Germany while building up or strengthening their professional networks.
There are currently three Green Talents at PIK of which two are in RD2:
M.Sc.Wondowossen Anteneh Tegegne from Ethiopia is conducting research on the topic "Assessing the impact of climate change and associated vulnerabilities on sustainable tourism development in Ethiopia" until the end of August 2017
and
Dr. Hèou Maléki Badjana from the University of Lome in Togo. He will be staying at our institute until the end of September and is working on the topic "Analysis and modelling of the hydrological system of the Mono River basin (West Africa) under aspects of climate variability, land use changes and reservoir management".
The Green Talent, Mr Zhu Liu is working with our colleagues from RD4.
We wish all of them an interesting and inspiring stay at our Institute!
