10/07/2024 - Paula Romanovska successfully defended her PhD thesis entitled "Harnessing climate data to assess, anticipate and attribute climate impacts on agriculture" at the University of Kassel.

Paula’s thesis includes three publications that underline the importance of reliable climate data at different time scales for assessing the impacts of climate change on agriculture, for predicting this season's yields before harvest and for attributing the already occurring impacts of climate change on agriculture. The dissertation contributes to the diverse body of research demonstrating the detrimental impacts of climate change on food production, and at the same time contributes to the manifold solutions that need to be implemented to improve and stabilise food security under changing climate conditions.
