After an introduction into the scientific history of Potsdam´s Telegraph Hill, the students visited the so-called “Wetterküche”, the institute’s little education center, to gain insights into climate science. Later on, the scientists Marlene Kretschmer, Lila Warszawski and Christina Roolfs gave impressions of their working life at the institute and stayed for lots of questions. At the end of the day, the girls experienced themselves how complicated international climate negotiations can be in a playful simulated climate conference. Within the diverse program, the students learned more about the topic of climate science as well as about career perspectives in research.
