El investigador de EPICC sobre migraciones, Jonas Bergmann, participó en una sesión de entrevistas organizada por la OIM América del Sur en la que se debatió el vínculo entre el cambio climático y la migración. El Sr. Bergmann presentó las conclusiones de su reciente informe "Evaluación de la evidencia: Cambio climático y migración en el Perú", publicado conjuntamente con la OIM. El estudio pone en perspectiva diversos riesgos y peligros climáticos que afectan a las comunidades de las principales zonas topográficas del país: la costa, la sierra y la selva. El estudio arroja luz sobre la compleja interacción entre el clima y otros factores que impulsan la migración en el país.

EPICC Migration researcher Jonas Bergmann participated in an interview session organized by IOM South America discussing the link between climate change and migration. Mr. Bergmann presented findings of his recent report "Assessing the Evidence: Climate Change and Migration in Peru" published jointly with the IOM. The study puts into perspective various climate risks and hazards that affect communities in the country’s main topographical zones: the coast, the highlands, and the rainforest or jungle. It sheds light on the complex interaction between climate and other factors driving migration in the country.
