Climate Policy, Economics & Energy
Climate Policy, Economics & Energy
Finding ways to stabilize our climate and ensure equitable prosperity. This is one of our research topics.

Research can act as a mapmaker for climate policy, identifying different pathways to reach societal goals and assessing the relevant costs and benefits - for generations to come and around the world. Interdisciplinary research teams explore options for decision-makers. The energy sector accounts for about two thirds of human-made greenhouse gas emissions and is thus a key area of investigation, from coal combustion to renewables and from grid design to CO2-pricing. As energy powers our modern economies, our industries as well as our homes, this is relevant for our businesses and jobs. And for our everyday lifes.
