PIK meets Institute for Planetary Health Behaviour

12/06/2024 - The Climate Change and Health team at PIK invited a team of researchers from the Institute for Planetary Behavior (IPB) of the University of Erfurt to the historic location of the Telegraphy Hill for an exchange on planetary health and climate change.
PIK meets Institute for Planetary Health Behaviour

The research group of the Institute for Planetary Health Behavior (IPB) aims to be the 'missing link' between climate research, the society and political decision makers and its main goal is to understand and promote climate-smart behavior. It is also concerned with the question of how to increase the willingness of the population to take action to protect the climate.

The IPB, which was founded last year, is amongst others responsible for the development of the Planetary Health Action Survey (PACE).  In regular surveys, PACE collects data on psychological (and socio-economic) aspects of the climate crisis.

On the PIK side, parts of the Climate Change and Health Group and team members of the FutureLab Earth Resilience / Working Group Whole Earth System Analysis participated. After introductory presentations by the respective teams, there were lively discussions and exchanges on possible collaborations.
