In the absolute ranking, the German Helmholtz Centre for Environmental Research (UFZ) in Leipzig is among the top institutions, as well as International Institute for Applied Systems Analysis (IIASA) in Austria or the Nature Conservancy (TNC) and the World Resources institute (WRI) in the United States.
