“Stefan Rahmstorf has written a rich, witty and at the same time fascinating book,” Udo Simonis, editor of “Jahrbuch Ökologie” said. “It addresses children and teenagers, but is very sophisticated.” The book was illustrated by Klaus Ensikat. It explains in a comprehensible way why the world is becoming warmer, how thunder and storms develop or if the wind ever rests – always in relation to climate research.
Rahmstorf chairs one of the research domains at the Potsdam Institute for Climate Impact Research and does research on sea-level rise. “When I was a student myself I devoured books of popular science and spent endless afternoons at the university library of my hometown Konstanz,” Rahmstorf explains his motivation. “I am happy to pass this enthusiasm on to today´s children and teenagers.”
