21/07/2020 - RD2 Scientist Lukas Mogge was awarded a PhD scholarschip from the Deutsche Bundesstiftung Umwelt (DBU) for his research on 'Living with climate risks: Exposure to extreme weather events and household adaptation in rural Mongolia'
The dissertation of Lukas Mogge will contribute to the research of the new Future Lab Inequality, Human Well-Being and Development under the supervision of Dr. Kati Krähnert and Prof. Hermann Lotze-Campen and will
complement the project 'ADAPT'.
Lukas Mogge holds an MSc in Development Studies from the London School of Economics and an MSc in Economics from the Free University of Berlin. His research interests are the socio-economic consequences of climate change as well as climate adaptation strategies. In his dissertation he will investigate how exposure to extreme weather events shapes risk perceptions and how such changes in perceived risks translate in changes in climate adaptation.
