description:
Climate change induced loss and demolition occur in different areas. On the one hand rural areas - zones characterized by low population density and agriculture - that are tied to the countryside by function are affected. On the other hand it's urban area and its usually superior economic potential and high building and population density that is endangered. These areas suffer from damages through increasing wind and storm intensity, coastal flooding, shore erosions etc. especially where infrastructure is connected to coastal area. Therefore, economic activity is potentially constrained, which implies economic damage additionally.
