UTA PROFESSOR STUDIES POSSIBILITY OF

LIFE IN OTHER SOLAR SYSTEMS

Would life still be possible if the Earth were in another planetary system?  The answer is yes, according to UTA Assistant Professor of Physics Manfred Cuntz and three other researchers from Germany.

Cuntz, Siegfried Franck, Werner von Bloh and Christine Bounama of the Potsdam Institute for Climate Impact Research examined the 47 Ursae Majoris and report in the Intrernational Journal of Astrobiology that the chances for a habitable planet are especially good if the planet’s surface is covered by water.

For addtional information, contact Cuntz at 817-272-2467 or email cuntz@uta.edu.
